Wonderful Vintage Wooden Camel Stool with Age Worn Leather Cushion
A mid to late 20th century camel stool. I reckon 1960’s.
I am not sure what the wood is, but will be some wood from the area of manufacture. Certainly, a hardwood.
The frame is very solid and well preserved. To each foot there are decorative round brass plaques.
The cushion has a brown leatherette covering, this is original. Very much age worn but full of charm and authenticity. There is a repair to the front and back seam and other general wear but it is perfectly fit for purpose.
The condition of the frame is very good.
The two rounded metal tops lift off and as there are hinges underneath, presumably it folds up, although I have been unable to do so.
The condition, for the age, is very good.
The cushion lifts off and underneath are two wide pieces of wood.
