We have been trading online for 15 years. We have also retailed on the High Street since 1984 in the Sussex towns of Lewes and Eastbourne. We have previously operated the largest painted furniture website, at the peak of the trend, in the world. Okay, a bit niche so maybe not difficult! Our ethos is to treat customers as we would wish to be treated ourselves. This simple principle has rewarded us with the prize of repeat trade and high customer satisfaction. Over a ten-year trading period on ebay and 5000 sales we maintained a 100% positive feedback record. I wouldn’t call us no frills, but we present our stock in an honest manner. We want to go out buying, restoring, researching, learning, meeting etc, not spending all day photo shopping and stylising goods, artificially enhancing the photos you see. We want customer feedback to be ‘looks much better in the flesh than in the photos’ not ‘lovely, but not as nice as in the images.’ Of course, we try and make our listings informative and photos as good as we can, but honesty and transparency is our policy. 38 years of knowledge and experience in the trade, means we are able to offer a really interesting and eclectic mix of stock. A lot of it has been upcycled in our workshop. From 18th Century to the 1970s, from furniture to photos, if we like it, we buy it. Please follow our social media feeds. The successes and, as with all business, the not quite so successful parts. We have to get the items to you. We reuse as much cardboard as we can and buy most of it from removal firms, already used. Plastic in bubble and shrink wrap is a necessity so we ask you recycle. Accidents will occasionally happen in transit.
