It features a painted, carved wooden frame with beautiful natural distressing. Before its current finish, it was clearly repainted multiple times over the years, creating a lovely, timeworn aesthetic. The paint is distressed and shows areas of wear, make sure to view all the images to appreciate the character.
The chair has a hand woven cane seat and backrest in a classic honey tone. The cane work is tight and undamaged, still firm on both the seat and back, though it shows the expected wear and occasional scuffing consistent with age.
The frame is jointed with side and front stretchers for added support. The wood is hard and beautifully crafted, suggesting the chair is well over 100 years old. Despite its age, it's still sturdy and usable.
With its low-slung profile and relaxed, angled back, this chair works beautifully as an informal seating option or simply as a decorative accent. It’s just one of those timeless pieces that would look fantastic in any room of the house.
