Vintage watercolour of a Mediterranean Village scene, boy on steps enjoying hot weather. He is sitting in summer wear enjoying the heat. The village scene behind him suggest he is southern Europe or the Mediterranean area. The vegetation is sparse and the village scene more European than English. It is also clearly hot! which one wouldn't normally associate with the British climate. It is a very sweet depiction of a summer's day. The boy is clearly enjoying himself and one can imagine a village of siestas, good food and wine, and swimming. Lots of laughter. Reminiscent of holidays abroad. Lovely size - on the smaller side. Original watercolour in a retro white glazed frame. The painting is in very good condition. The frame has marks and knocks commensurate with age. Frame needs a clean up, but the painting can be hung up as soon as you are ready. Please have a good look at photos.
