This is a truly delightful little footstool. Almost certainly made in central Europe in the late Victorian era.
The frame is made of pine with an oak veneer which is on the whole very well preserved with just a few surface marks and to one of the sides some veneer missing towards the bottom.
The best thing for me about this stool are the beautiful little Victorian porcelain castors, absolutely delightful.
The upholstery is original and although worn and discoloured I have to say the condition is still very good for the age and it is still fully intact.
It is missing a hem which actually I quite like because you can see all of the lovely original metal tacks which now have surface rust and give it a further fantastic rustic look.
Absolutely delightful piece.
