A classy looking top quality vintage chair.
It is very hard to identify the wood as the beautiful finish is very thick and disguises the grain. However, it is hardwood, very good quality and build and therefore very sturdy.
There are a few redundant worm holes to the legs which have been filled. This flaw very much offset by the beauty of the turnings.
The covering looks fairly recent. Very minor wear but very good quality and still well preserved.
Late Victorian.
I consider this to be in very good condition.
