Vintage Upcycled Painted Couch Settee Double Armchair Carver Grey with Cushions FREE HAND Delivery

A real blast of the 1960s, lots of us can probably remember our grandparents having these.

Many now discarded this is received a fresh breath of life.

And why not? It is a beautifully made piece of furniture an absolute middle class 60s chic!

Beautifully made, the frame is very well constructed and shows hardly any sign of wear or lack of function.

The original springs remain in top notch condition and have not sagged.

It has the two original cushions. Front side up you can see the colour has darkened and I could certainly do with a little bit of a clean, the other side is lighter and cleaner but you will see there is a stained mark to one of them.

The cushions are obviously filled and the insides can be reached as there is a zip so these may actually clean up considerably within a washing machine.

The frame has been painted in what looks like a medium grey chalk paint and it has been sanded. It may well have been sanded prior to the paint as the wood that you can now see underneath is all light and normally when you distress the piece of furniture, if the wood underneath was dark you will see the dark. Anyway it is what it is having been distressed and you can see elements of the wood underneath which gives it a lovely shabby chic look.

I don't know if it originally had proper cushions to the back or maybe large scatter cushions, but whoever has painted this up has discarded them in favour of showing the beautiful wheel back design, I have tested it and it is quite comfortable as is and if you're using it in a Conservatory, or just for occasional use, I certainly wouldn't bother doing anything with the cushions.

Sturdy and with a fresh breath of life this is a fantastic piece of upcycled shabby chic and I would say would look particularly fantastic in the Conservatory, equally maybe augmented with some other cushions would be great anywhere in the house.

This will cost us between £60-80 so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
