Vintage Upcycled Hand Painted Metal Standard Lamp in Farrow and Ball Light Blue Working
I bought this lamp because it is a lovely shape, but the finish had quite a lot of wear and was dated.
I applied an undercoat and three top coats of Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light Estate Eggshell, which is a beautiful light blue colour.
I have then gone over the finish with some wire wool so the gold underneath shows through and leaves a nice contemporary shabby chic finish.
This was PAT tested in 2020 and although there is a small chip to the plug, the lamp works perfectly and has the additional advantage of having a switch on the flex rather than on the bayonet, so it easier to use.
The lamp takes a large standard screw in bulb.
