Vintage Sylvac Yellow Hollyhock 1962 design Jug / Vase - vgc

The Sylvac Hollyhock jug is a charming vintage piece, typically designed in a distinctive yellow glaze. The jug features an intricate raised relief pattern of hollyhock flowers climbing up the sides, with tall, elegant stalks and large, open blooms. The handle is often designed to mimic the form of a twisted vine or stem, blending seamlessly into the floral motif.

The jug's body is bulbous at the bottom, narrowing towards the top, creating a classic pitcher shape. The glossy yellow glaze adds warmth and vibrancy, enhancing the delicate floral details. The jug is in vgc with minor signs of wear eg some slight crazing to the glaze, but no chips or cracks. The base is marked as Made in England and 1962 Sylvac.

Wonderful as a jug or as a vase! Super autumn or spring flowers would look great.
