Vintage Solid Oak Tall Extending Workbox Storage.
A delightful mid 20th century solid oak workbox.
It is unusual for a workbox to stand on such long legs but for you this may be the perfect height.
It is all made of solid oak apart from the bottoms of the compartments which are made of plywood and board.
There are two sweet turned handles for pulling the compartments open.
At this juncture, that's because the design of the workbox does not pull as wide open as a lot of later work boxes, although this of course does keep it far more solid. The actual opening and closing is not perfect but on the whole very good.
There is a split two one of the lids, apart from that aesthetically there are not too many signs of wear and the condition good. Although the lower trim is all held in place very securely there are some gaps at the joins and to the top of the trim. This has obviously been repaired at some point and there are signs of wood filler.

A truly delightful piece of furniture, not perfect but lovely to look at and very practical.
