Vintage Solid Oak Fire Screen Guard with Still Life Tapestry Decoration.
Pretty and top quality solid oak fire screen. Delighted to say the feet are robustly secured so unlike a lot of the screens you'll see online this stands very well and does not rock.
The frame is made of solid oak and it was probably made between 1920 and 1940.
It has a lovely colour and finish to it and is very well preserved.
Within the frame is a beautiful still life tapestry which has been hand woven and is protected by a pane of glass.
It has a boarded backing. Would obviously look fantastic in a fireplace, but actually would look nice just as a display anywhere in the house.
