Bring a splash of mid-century character and aesthetic to your kitchen or dining space with this set of four original vintage chairs, dating from the 1950s or 60s.

These chairs embody the timeless utility design of the era, with solid wooden beech frames and distinctive blue vinyl seats that are anything but ordinary. The vibrant blue seat covers feature a unique pine grain pattern, bold, eye-catching, and perfect for anyone who loves a pop of retro flair.

Condition & Features:

Sturdy and Intact: All four chairs are structurally sound, with the slight natural movement you’d expect from vintage pieces. If you prefer a firmer feel, simply tighten the bolts at the rear legs.

Easily Recoverable Seats: The seats are attached with clever revolving pegs, making it simple to re-cover them in your choice of fabric or vinyl if the blue isn’t quite your style. Currently there is no foam, or a very negligent thin foam.

Wear and Character: There are small signs of age on the wood surfaces and a couple of tiny tears on one seat, and a further tear on another seat. This seat also has two pieces of wood missing from the front right and left of the seat, shown clearly in the photos.

Original Finish: The chairs have been left in their original, age-worn condition to allow you to finish them as you wish—paint, oil, or leave them beautifully vintage. I have giver them a light wipe with Danish oil to revive the wood’s sheen. The majority of the original tough finish remains which is keeping the chairs well preserved.

These chairs are a wonderful option if you’re seeking authentic vintage style without the stress of preserving a pristine surface. They’re ready to be used, loved, and enjoyed—no need to worry about the occasional knock or bump.

This product will be delivered by hand by a proper furniture courier.
Delivery is free to mainland England and Wales only.
There will be a cost anywhere else so please, contact us for a quote.
This will cost us between £60-80 to deliver, so if you wish collect from Lewes in East Sussex we will refund the saved courier charges.
The couriers will arrange a day and time window with you.
Delivery is to the front door. Should the item be large the courier will need a hand your end or contact us and we will arrange a more expensive two man delivery.
It will take about 2 weeks.
