Vintage Retro Hand Painted Work Box Side Coffee Table Stool in Annie Sloan and Farrow and Ball
A 1950’s workbox but practical for so many other uses !
Hand painted in Annie Sloan Barcelona Orange
The mirror is in good condition and there is an eyelet to the back for hanging.
I then varnish.
To varnish we use a ‘Polyvine’ varnish.
This is a child, pet and food safe varnish.
We apply two coats of a ‘dead flat finish’ and a ‘satin finish’ so the finish has a sheen to it.
The top has been sanded and three layers of Danish Oil applied.
The black detail is Farrow and Ball estate eggshell.
The inside is nicely fitted out if somewhat ‘tired.’
A small sliver of veneer missing to the back of the top but stained oiled over so hardly notices. The hinges are fine but the brass spider leg one that stops the top from falling backwards needs replacing or mending.
It is a hand finished piece so the finish not a sprayed factory finish expect minor inconsistencies to finish and surface !
