Vintage Pitch Pine Swing Dressing Table Mirror
A splendid late Victorian stripped pine dressing table mirror. It looks to have been hand stripped with a natural polish applied.
Pitch pine is a darker pine with a denser grain from colder climates.
The columns are darker than the base and frame. The main flaw is to the bottom of the left hand side column. The very base has the wide circular base that the rest of the columns sit in. The first circular piece of decoration has been lost and you can see this is slightly lighter than the rest. I have taken lots of images so take a good look in particular at this area.
Original thick glass mirror of which tilts upwards and downwards so you can admire yourself at your favourite angle! This is very well preserved with just a few black spots.
Original brass tilting mechanism is intact and works well.
Panelled wood backing to the mirror frame.
This has bags of character and will look great on your dressing table or whatever surface in your bedroom.
Apart from the piece of missing turned wood this is in very good condition.
