Vintage Painted Wall Mirror in Farrow and Ball Wimborne White Bespoke Hand Painted 63 x 53 cm Rectangle
A unique hand painted mirror. It is a 1980’s mirror that had a dark wooden frame. There is quite a lot of detail so perfect for painting.
I applied two undercoats and then three coats of Farrow and Ball estate eggshell. I then applied, to the inside, an artist acrylic gold before rubbing down with wire wool. This has exposed some of the wood detail and left a contemporary shabby chic finish.
Please note this is hand painted so expect irregularities to the finish.
Farrow and Ball describe Wimborne White as follows-
This just off white is named after the market town of Wimborne in Dorset and home to Farrow & Ball. 'Only a shade away from a pure white, the addition of the smallest amount of warm yellow pigment creates a very versatile shade which is just a little softer than All White.'
The glass is bevelled and in very good condition.
