Vintage Painted Solid Beech Turned and Fluted Standard Lamp Working
This is a very stylish mid-20th century painted standard lamp.
It is made of solid beech, a quality wood and has the original tough light cream finish to it.
On the whole, the finish is very well preserved, there are some surface scratches to the top half and as you can see on the base there are also some marks. As it is already painted it would be very easy just to add a finish of your own choice.
It has a delightful fluted bottom half. This unscrews at the middle and will be sent as such to cut down on the risk of damage in transit.
It works fine and the wiring appears to be fine, however obviously get it checked out or upgrade if you wish to.
This is a very pretty standard lamp and lovely that it still has its original paint. This is not too fussy and ornate, but also not plain either so just right for most rooms in the house.
