These sorts of mirror frames were prevalent during the 1960’s and 70’s, so date from then.
It is made of moulded plaster that has been moulded around a wire frame.
Originally it was covered in a gold finish that was worn and chipped in places.
Two undercoats were applied and then three coats of Farrow and Ball Wimborne White Estate Eggshell. I then wire woolled the finish so some of the gold from underneath has come through.
I used Wimborne White, however the original colour of the mirror was a gold and what happens is light paint often reacts with the gold and the properties within the gold finish and turn the white a very light green which I think looks fantastic.
As with all painted things do expect some idiosyncrasies and flaws to the finish and please take a good look at the images to check the condition.
There is a metal eyelet for hanging.
This is a standalone attractive frame and there are obviously multi purpose uses for a mirror; obviously pictures or blackboard or notice board, maybe putting a stand alone picture in a clip frame inside.
