A 60s or 70s wall mirror. Made of wood with a gesso moulded decoration.
Originally it was covered in a gold finish.
Two undercoats were applied and then three coats of Farrow and Ball Wimborne White Estate Eggshell. I then wire woolled the finish so some of the gold from underneath has come through.
I used Wimborne White, however the original colour of the mirror was a gold and what happens is light paint often reacts with the gold and the properties within the gold finish and turn the white a very light green which I think looks fantastic.
As with all painted things do expect some idiosyncrasies and flaws to the finish and please take a good look at the images to check the condition.
There is a hanging method attached.
The glass is thick, original with just some minor spotting.
There is some historic damage to the backing which has been painted over.
