Vintage Painted Chest of Drawers in Farrow and Ball.
Made of satin wood walnut. This was a wood used at the turn of the century in a lot of furniture, the use was short lived as it has a tendency to warp !
You can hopefully pick up in the images the top is slightly upturned to the front.
The other fault is that the ply panel to the back has worm holes which are historical and completely redundant.
Now I’ll talk it up.
The drawers are clean and run well, sporting the original turn of the century brass handles.
It is really well built and as you can see in the images very well built.
I have sanded the original stained finish and applied two undercoats before three top coats of Farrow and Ball Wimborne White Estate Eggshell. I have then wire woolled the edges to expose the wood underneath. All done by hand so please expect the odd flaw to the finish.
