Vintage Painted Art Nouveau Wall Mirror in Farrow and Ball.
A very stylish and beautiful very early 20th century wall mirror.
Originally this would have come from a satin wood dressing table and you can see evidence of the holes to the axis movement to either side. Satin wood was a very popular medium for bedroom furniture in the early 20th century and you can definitely see the signs of art nouveau decoration in the carved motif to the top.
It has been painted in Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light estate eggshell. I would describe this as a light duck egg blue. You will notice that I have wire woolled some of the areas so the wood shows through and a contemporary finish is left showing.
Nice to have the original bevelled glass. There is some black spotting to the top and towards the centre three other larger black marks.
Boarded backing and there are two new brass mirror plates for attaching to the wall or you can of course upgrade those.
On the whole I would describe the condition as very good and the overall look to be an excellent addition too your contemporary vintage home.
