A charming vintage freestanding dressing table mirror in ornate Rococo style, dating from the 1960s. The frame is richly decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves, floral garlands, and a central motif at the crest, finished in a soft cream/off white paint with subtle distressing that enhances its antique character. The oval bevelled glass is clear and bright, set within a beautifully moulded frame that rests on decorative feet and an integrated easel stand for stability.
This elegant piece captures the romantic opulence of mid-century Rococo revival design, blending French Baroque influences with Hollywood Regency glamour. Made from cast composite with a wood-backed easel, it is both decorative and functional, perfect for use on a dressing table, console, or as a focal point in a vintage-inspired interior. Likely of English or Italian manufacture, it adds a touch of theatrical elegance to bedrooms, boutiques, or period homes.
In good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age on the cream and gold, and some gesso/moulding missing in bottom right front and back corner, this mirror displays beautifully. The glass is intact and has very few marks on it, very few. The pin does slide out from the hinge, it is easy to slide back into the hinge.
Size : 49cm x 28cm frame approx
