Vintage Ornate Painted Mirror Hand Painted and Upcycled in Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light, Light Blue.
I would imagine this mirror is from the 1960s or 70s.
The frame is made of solid wood and you'll see, especially if you look in the at the image of the back, that the frame is pierced giving it a lovely original finish.
The frame has been covered in a moulded gesso and it originally had a gold finish which was very tired. Also a few pieces of the moulding had gone missing and frankly painting it all just disguises that.
This has been hand painted in Farrow and Ball Borrowed Light Estate Eggshell, which is a light blue.
I have then wire wooled the finish so some of the gold and the wood underneath comes through and leaves a lovely contemporary shabby chic finish.
Please be aware that this is hand painted so the finish will not be totally uniform and there will be minor flaws.
The glass is well preserved.
There is some brass wire to the top four as your own fitting.
