Vintage Ornate Mahogany Occasional Decorative Upholstered Chair.
This is an exceptionally attractive early 20th century occasional chair. It is made of mahogany so is of the highest quality of wood and construction. This is very much an occasional chair, not designed for lounging in for long periods but providing a distinct occasional purpose and very much an aesthetically pleasing piece of household décor.
Obviously, the main features are the outstanding thick fretwork decorative shields and the lovely curved features throughout.
The upholstery looks to have been fairly recently applied. This is a very good quality material and is in very good condition. The only flaw to it is just to the left hand side of the rear shield there is a small gap between the hem and the wood.
Please take a good look at the images. As you will see this is a beautiful occasional chair that is very well preserved. Yes, there are a few surface marks and a couple of very minor dents, but this is a very old chair, and you wouldn't expect anything else!
