A superb vintage watercolour of a cottage. There is NO glass. This was broken apparently in transit to the auction, so the watercolour and the mount are quite well preserved.
I think it is late Victorian. The frame is wooden with a gesso moulded covering and the original gold finish. Please take a good look at the images as there is damage to the gesso so the exterior finish has been lost showing the plaster underneath.
It has the original wooden pine backing which was a Victorian trait.
