This is a very attractive early 20th century solid oak fire screen. The frame is made of oak so is a very good quality and as with all pre-war oak has a dark stain to it. The frame is solid and well preserved, there are some surface marks which you will be able to see in the images. Importantly the feet are very sturdy.
It's a beautiful tapestry of a chalet. almost certainly the Swiss Alps, this is very well preserved and I can only imagine is the original tapestry.
The fire screen is glazed and also has a boarded backing.
As you can see in the images, the all round condition is very good.
