Vintage Oak Embroidered Print Fire Screen Barley Twist Supports
A superb early to mid-20th century fire screen.
Wonderful quality and very attractive.
The frame is made of oak and stained a dark mahogany colour. This is intact and well preserved, there were a few surface marks which I have largely disguised with stain.
Please take a good look at the images to check the condition.
Would originally have had two balls to the top of the uprights. They have been removed at some point, sanded and stained.
Other than that, the frame is sturdy, intact and stands well.
The decoration looks to me like an embroidery and not a print on material, I have taken some close-up images.
It is glazed and again, very well preserved.
