Vintage Mixed Media Original Framed Painting by Una Aldridge, titled “Wasteland”

Una Aldridge is a Sussex based artist who specialises in Mixed Media abstract artwork, This lovely bright and attractive works is titled “Wasteland”. I’m imagining that she is perhaps not thinking of miserable, desperate wasteland, as the painting is too attractive and colourful to be so. Although, perhaps it is depicting something like a landfill site or a forgotten dumping ground in the countryside … it has a South Downs sort of appeal to it.

Whatever the subject matter, and this is of course a talking point, this is a bright, bold and colourful painting. Being framed professionally in a lovely thick white mount and in a green wooden frame, makes it a super colourful addition to any home.

It is in excellent condition – one or two minor markings on the frame which may oil or stain out, but the painting, the mount, glass the backing are all completely intact – even the string ready for hanging. You even have the original price and details on the back from when this was in a gallery.
