This is a very pretty, small and delightful early retro, 1950s sewing box atop fabulous tapered wooden legs with classic 1950s metal capped feet. So completely mid-century - the wicker body with some blue and white plastic detail, the painted blue lid, and then those fabulous legs. Super sewing box / work box on legs. Perfect for home sewing or craft projects.

Inside there is a pin cushion on the inside of the lid, and some compartment storage space in the main basin of the workbox. The overall presentation of the haberdashery accent is simply delightful! Very arty and crafty, and so homely.

It is in great vintage condition. Not pristine, but very good. SLight chip/tear on the top right blue lid, minor pieces loose on the wicker. General scuffs, scrapes and marks from age and use. The inside storage area islined with material which is worn or marked in places. In spite of this, the box is perfectly usable and just charming.
