The brass has a vintage age to it with markings and aged colouring – it is not pristine! Could presumably be polished up with brasso (other makes available) if you wanted it to, or leave as is with its more rustic look. The actual moulded figures and tavern like scene still has good definition and can be easily scene. The brass covering is intact and well fitted still on the frame. Has a good weight to it.
