This is a beautifully crafted vintage or piano bench or dressing table stool , dating approximately from the early-20th century, carefully restored to bring out the natural character of the wood while preserving its timeless appeal. The frame is made of solid mahogany which has been meticulously hand stripped, dyed, and polished to reveal its lovely warm tone and distinctive natural grain. The rich polished finish contrasts elegantly with the lightish blue suede seat cushion, creating a refined and inviting look that would complement a range of interiors from traditional to eclectic.

The stool features shapely cabriole-style legs and turned wooden arm supports that showcase skilled craftsmanship and classic design influences. One handle is 100% fit for purpose, but there is a small gap that means it sits a bit loose, but is is well and truly dowelled in place. The seat lifts to reveal a hidden storage compartment perfect for tucking away sheet music, accessories, or other personal items, making it not only beautiful but also practical for everyday use in a bedroom, hallway, or dressing area.

The condition overall is very good. The polished mahogany surfaces retain a glowing patina with some natural knots and slight signs of age that enhance its vintage character rather than detract from it. The suede upholstery is clean and plush, providing comfortable seating. The only notable imperfection is the webbing to the underside of the seat, which has been applied somewhat aesthetically carelessly in the past; however, this is purely cosmetic, and the benefit is that the seat remains firm and does not sag when in use.

This unique stool is ideal as a vanity chair, piano bench, bedroom accent piece, or hallway seat.
