Vintage Mahogany Over Mantel Mantle Wall Mirror Late Victorian.
This is a superb late Victorian mahogany over mantle mirror. I think it would originally have been made for above the fireplace however would look amazing anywhere else in the house. It is of very good dimensions being not too small or too large so should fit in anywhere.
Being made of mahogany the mirror is of a top quality build. The actual carcass is made of pine and the fronts and the decorative parts are all mahogany. It is completely solid throughout and intact.
There is subtle fluted decoration along the four lengths of frame and wonderful carved areas throughout. Distinctive curved lined panels either side of the centre carving.
The mirror is the original thick glass and this will be sent with a proper furniture courier to ensure it remains in one piece! The glass, for the age, is in very good condition. Some minor imperfections if you look close up.
