Vintage Mahogany Coal Box Bucket Scuttle Fireplace Storage Kindling
A classic late Victorian coal box. Fantastic for storing kindling too.
It is made of mahogany with inlaid strips to the raised panel.
Sublime brass handle with very much an art nouveau look which ties in with the early 20th Century manufacture.
There is no liner.
It is in good condition but obviously with any scuttle like this there are marks commensurate with age.
There has been a poor repair to the hinge to the right-hand side where there are small marks where the 4 added screws have not gone through the wood but split it, please see images. There is a dent by the inside of the inlay to the right-hand side.
