Vintage Large Original Watercolour of the Wye Valley Aesthetically Age Worn but Superb!

A totally delightful watercolour; the painting is beautiful but so is the authenticity of the piece.
Although the framing is more recent than the watercolour, whoever has reframed it has also taken with it some writing from presumably the original frame which says thus-

This just adds some real life to this picture.
It's just very interesting framing set up, I would date the actual frame from the 1970s and let's just say there is some foxing and other aberrations behind the frame.
There is foxing to the actual watercolour which is particularly prevalent in the sky. With the rest of the picture it only really notices on close inspection. The Wye meanders on what looks like a autumn sunset with cows on one side of the river and what looks like a little boy to the other.
The mount appears to be the original mount. What I think has happened is the original frame has been damaged or broken and the original watercolour and mount has been reframed. Despite having to cope with the foxing what has happened since the re framing is to the outer part of the mount there is some other form of mould, on closer inspection it does look like quite a lot of this is actually just on the glass and not actually on the mount. I have come across this often before and normally if you remove the backing etc the mount wipes mainly clean. In my experience I must stress and cannot guarantee.
But I actually think this just adds some real vintage charm to it but I know lot of people wont! I sell lots of pictures and to be honest pictures such as this, as lovely as they are, well there are a lot of them around and actually I just think the foxing and the other ’age worn’ characteristics just add some vintage character and charm and differentiates it between the vast number of vintage pictures. I know lots of you will think, what's he talking about? but I also know some of you will get it and I hope it is one of you that appreciates all the charms of this picture and life is is LED.
