How fantastic are these! Matching upholstered pair of footstools. Delightful hardwood bun feet and a very neutral and pleasing upholstered fabric. In great vintage condition. Quality footstools which may be from the 50s/60s, but possibly reupholstered in the 80s/90s. They are good quality, good weight to them and those bun feet are just fantastic. Great for popping weary legs on when watching the telly. A must have addition in a living room. Not too big so can be neatly popped away when not being used. Two the same!
The fabric is a very subtle patterned light peach. Jacquard type weave I believe. Finished in light peach binding around the edge. A good upholstery job. Underside a wooden panel hides any fabric work, and meets the four lovely bun feet. The wood is weighty so is definitely a hardwood, possibly mahogany but I don't know for sure. Very small scuffs and scrapes on the wooden feet, but honestly in great condition. The material looks good to continue to use as is, but you may wish to shampoo or clean. Only noticeable marks I could see are two small black dots on one stool - see photo. The binding seems sound too.
