This is a delightful watercolour original of a female pheasant. It captures the little bird so beautifully in its surroundings. I think it must be sunrise or sunset as the light is gorgeous and glowing, but not stark like midday sun. The painting is well executed, seemingly by an amateur artist (there is no signature). All very good - the beak does however look more duck like ... quirky! The lovely watercolour is mounted in a cream heavy card mount and then framed in a very attractive green shabby chic like wooden glazed frame. The mount and painting are rectangular and the edging is wider at the top than to the sides. Makes a more interesting view of the painting. Painting in in vgc; mount has a handful of marks; frame is delightful with its shabby countrified finish - has marks but nothing untoward. Ready to hang. Needs a little bit of dust off out of storage, but all good. Lovely innocent attractive painting of wildlife. Please look at photos and video to be sure of condition.
