These are only about 30 years old, but please do not confuse them with some of these dreadful imported decorative metal chairs that come in from the Far East, very lightweight, do not last long and start to rust immediately. Oh and wobble!
This chair is actually very good quality and is actually very heavy and robust.
I'm not sure what metal it is made from, I would imagine in the main it is iron. It has a tough glossy finish to it.
Beautiful hand set mosaic decoration which is grouted and very well preserved and presented.
A lovely lattice seat.
I have tried to show the images that there are some minor parts where there is some surface rust. In no way has this compromised the strength or has there been any erosion. You can probably clean it off but I think actually looks really good and gives it a lovely age worn look.
It is very sturdy to sit.
