A very opulent, grand looking fine bone china service made in the 1980s by the Elizabethan Fine Bone China Ltd (previously Taylor and Kent of the 1800s). It is wonderful quality with a rich red and gold tapestry floral like design. This part service has plenty going on and is xx pieces. It is overall in wonderful condition. And a very opulent design.
The set here has tea plates, sandwich plates, small dinner plates, large dinner plates, dessert bowls, jugs x 2, sugar bowl, 6 cups and saucers and a tea pot, and two wonderful tureens. Out of the xx pieces, 3 have cracks in them incl one jug, one cup and the tea pot. Otherwise one tiny chip on the base of a cup and all other markings commensurate with age, production technique and use. The set however is overall in fabulous condition, and can quite easily be used for a get together as is, supplementing another part service (maybe even in their yellow or blue version), or could quite easily be married up to a white and gold vintage service too.
Sovereign was made in the 1980s, but does seemingly look older. It is made to do so. It recalls the fine china of past eras as well as the wonderful detailed design of tableware and dinnerware for the wealthy. It is a very smart opulent set.
