Vintage Early 20th Century Stained and Turned Standard Lamp.
A very wonderful vintage turned standard lamp. Made in the early 20th century from beech stained to give a mahogany effect.
It goes without saying this will need to be rewired. It has the original intertwined wire, I don't know if this can be used again you certainly see reproduction wiring like this, but you would need to check with an electrician.
The column is very elegant. It is neither fussy nor drab and with the right vintage lamp shape will look absolutely amazing.
On the whole the finish to the standard is very well preserved. It is the original finish which I think is lovely and to the top you'll see some marks have been stained in which I have shown in the images.
