Vintage Early 20th Century Satinwood Wall Mirror with Ornate Carved Frame – Converted Dressing Table Mirror, Unique Antique Decor

This is a beautiful and distinctive satinwood wall mirror.

It originally began life as the centrepiece to a dressing table, the axis movements now removed and converted into beautiful wall mirror.

The solid wood frame features some ornate scrollwork and has a rich reddish brown finish.

The rectangular shape is enhanced by the gracefully arched top and deep carved detailing making it an elegant focal place in a hallway living room or bathroom.

The frame has been hand stripped at some point and polished. They old access movements have been filled. The top left hand piece of the cornice has been lost which will only notice if you look at it or display it with the left hand side in particular visible. To the back some of the backing wood of this missing, although this is rather inconsequential. There are signs of repair and filler to the beading to the right hand aperture. Despite the faults this is an incredibly attractive mall mirror and a classic piece of early 20th century decor.

Importantly, the original thick bevelled glass is very well preserved and in great condition for the age.
