Vintage chunky green painted and glazed wooden frames with Italian inspired signed F. Formosa prints (24cm x 28.5cm)

Very attractive green painted wooden frames with prints by an F Formosa ’92 in them. I can’t identify much about the artist or the artwork unfortunately as they are very attractive and lovely. I can however vouch for the super quality vintage shabby chic, country style, French country green wooden frames. With glazing and ready to hang, these frames are fabulous. A good size for use with or without a mount – small or small medium sized pictures will be perfect for these.

The frames originally were made to order by a company in Rye, Sussex. You can see they are not cheap off the shelf jobs. Good weight to them, with glazing of course and ready to hang. The green is a lovely light vintage green, showing some bare wood and dark grey or black smudges too. Very attractive and superb for a décor of the same shades (or like shades), but also a room of white/cream with blasts of colour. Great for a bathroom, conservatory, kitchen or bedroom. Will fit in well with vintage or contemporary décor. Delightful.

Frames are in vg condition with only the smallest signs of wear commensurate with age.
The prints should you wish to keep them are definitely Italian in theme or inspiration. The one with the umbrellas is actually Titled (in Italian) “Towards Ponte Vecchio, Florence”, the other doesn’t have a name but is a wonderful silhouette of a woman half dressed. Both are superb in their colours and impressionist mixed media style. Both signed prints, one limited 5/50 edition. So actually could be worth something! Mounts are not great quality and have some markings. Actual prints seem to be in vgc.
