A charming decorative and functional piece of furniture. Wonderful revival and replica copy of an 18th century Chippendale or Queen Anne style stool. Made out of mahogany (I believe, but could be wrong) with a beautiful needlepoint / tapestry seat. Very attractive stool for a bedroom, living room, playroom etc. Wonderful decoration in the needlepoint of a Crinoline Lady - hard wearing material. Likely made in early to mid 20th century.

The seat is removable and fits snugly back into the frame. It is a fairly solid seat and is still in good conditon. The tapestry is in excellent condition and is muted in tones. The tapestry has a few small marks in places which may clean out, it still looks good though. The wooden frame is in excellent vintage condition. Of course it has signs of wear and age, including some redundant worm holes, but this is a very well made stool which is still in great condition. The worm holes are not live and I have doused them in treatment so there is no risk of a return.

So this is a super vintage stool from early to mid 20th century, but made in the style of an 18th century antique stool. Wonderful to think a very old stool is actually a replica of an even older stool. Super addition to a living room, bedroom, conservatory, office etc. Somewhere extra for a perch or of course to put things on.
