After researching similar pieces, I have found that many are described as Chinese rosewood. While I cannot personally verify this due to limited experience with the wood type, what is certain is that this piece is crafted from a beautifully rich, top-quality hardwood with a stunning, highly polished finish.
The cabinet features five lined drawers, each fitted with a luxurious green baize style material. Inside each drawer are removable long cutlery rests, allowing for flexible use should you wish to repurpose them for other storage needs. The drawers are clean, run smoothly, and reflect the fine craftsmanship of the piece.
Below the drawers, a spacious cupboard provides additional storage, complete with a pair of exquisite brass handles. The original lock is missing but could likely be sourced online if desired. The interior of the cupboard is clean and well-maintained. It would originally have had a brass lock.
