Charming child's chair. Likely dating from 1930s-1960s. Perfect hardwood chair, possibly oak or beech. Wonderful craftsmanship. Solid and sturdy. Perfect child's chair - could suit a child up to about 5/6yrs of age. Has vintage patina and signs of age. Could clean up very well or could be painted depending on preference. Wonderful for bedroom, playroom, nursery etc. Superb little vintage chair - VGC.

Has a label underside, suggesting it might have been hired out. Maybe it was used in church halls or schools? Definitely looks like it could have been a school chair at some point. Built to last. I have left the condition as found. Can definitely be cleaned up if you desire, or refurbed. There is aged patina and marking including some different colouring to the base of the legs. Perhaps these ends have faded from light?

Perfect for a child's bedroom, or a chair for a small table. Playroom chair? Story Chair or dare I suggest a Naughty Chair? However you choose to use this chair, it will provide well. Sturdy and well made. And can no doubt tell a tale or two.
