Vintage Carved Oriental Style Hardwood Standard Lamp Working.
An early to mid 20th century vintage carved standard lamp.
I have tested the wiring and the lamp works fine and the fitments and wiring all seem to be in good working order. Please however do get checked it over by electrician if you wish.
It is very good quality with some beautiful workmanship specially the carving.
Splits into three pieces the circular base, the main column and the top foot or so the above the light part of the column. It will be sent with the three pieces unattached.
The thing I find interesting about this lamp is why how the different sections are all slightly different shades of colours, which I think adds a real quirkiness to this lovely lamp standard.
There are some surface marks and signs of wear however, basically as you can see in the images it is well preserved and in good condition. You may well be able to clean it up a bit and it would certainly benefit from a polish or some teak oil or a similar oil.
The height to the top of the bayonet is 152 cm
