Vintage Black Hand Painted Wooden Stylish Standard Lamp 5 ft

Full of vintage charm, a hand painted bespoke upcycled standard lamp. Stylish, contemporary and attractive design without being too fussy.
I bought this as it is so I cannot be certain of what type of paint it is, although the finish appears to be eggshell. It has also painted with some gold highlights to accentuate the turned and fluted decorations.
On the whole the condition of the finish is pretty good, as you should be able to see in the images there are a few marks and areas where the paint has been disturbed so it very much has a lovely vintage age worn look to it.
The standard would have been made in the mid 20th century.
I have shown in the images it splits just above the base. The top does not screw in but just sits in the base. When you pick the top part up it does just lift out of the bottom however as that is generally not something we ever need to do it makes no odds. Of course it can be glued in situ but at the moment it is very useful for the purposes of rewiring.
The bayonet is incomplete and needs replacing.
This is a delightful standard lamp and would look amazing with an appropriate shade commensurate with your colour scheme. Yes there are some flaws to the finish but in many ways that just means you don't have to be too overprotective and it can just be a normal part of a functional home.
