Fabulous vintage lamp - think it is 1970s. Wonderful and bold and beautiful. Asian inspired and influenced - see oriental style resin base, and then slightly Indian or SE Asian inspired motif and patterns. Gorgeous burnt orange 'painted effect' base colour with gold, bronze and other metal coloured patterned detail. The pattern outlines are almost embossed onto the lamp base giving it a slightly raised texture. I wouldn't be surprised is some of the detail, if not all, is hand painted. The base is a black resin and the actual lamp is ceramic.
What a superb statement piece this lamp would be with a big bold shade. Gold? Cream? orange? Black and Gold? Multiple colour and shape options to choose from. It is a big lamp base so can easily carry off a larger shade - perfect for a hall table, living room space, lamp table etc.
The lamp is fully PAT tested and working. It has updated gold/brown flex and three prong UK plug.
The Lamp is in great condition - very vintage and with its rustic, artisan type finish, the knocks, bumps and marks on it all blend very well into its vintage finish. Yes there are knocks and scratches etc but these make the lamp look more authentic than ever - you should be able to get a sense of the condition in the photos. The lamp base is also slightly quiff on the resin base - I have tried to relocate but this doesn't seem possible. This is not noticeable if the lamp is appropriately positioned and facing.
