Vintage Age Worn Brass Fender Fire Guard Fireplace.
This has very much seen better days but remains a delightful Victorian Fender.
It has a wooden carcass and the brass has been attached over it and was pinned in place.
Unfortunately, there are areas where the brass has blown out, to the front, and is no longer secured to the carcass. Although it remains perfectly fit for purpose it needs some attention.
You may well be able to re secure it if you are of a practical disposition, but frankly it is a lovely age worn fire accessory with lots of character, part of that character being that it is not perfect!

To the top of the front centre that would have been some form of decoration which was pinned on and there are four small holes and a very tiny split to that particular area so have a good look at the images.
