The base is solid and in good condition. On the top it has minor signs of age and wear - few markings etc. There are two chips in the bottom rim which you can see from underside but are almost impossible to see when the lamp is standing - they can be turned away from eyesight. Some of the metallic detail is actually covered plastic which does show some wear. Some of the metallic finish has worn away showing darker underside which actually matches very well to the browns in the faux onyx. The metallic cover has age and tarnish as a true brass lamp would have too. The faux onyx on the stem is in very good condition - bold and beautiful still
The lamp retains its original wiring and fittings, typical of mid-century British lighting manufacture, and will be sent a new updated British plug. The lamp has been PAT tested and is sold as working.
