Vintage 1920s Solid Oak Dressing Table Mirror Adjustable Swing.
This mirror is made of solid oak and is therefore of fine quality.
Made approximately during the 1920s.
Originally, as with most of the furniture of this era was, it was stained in a dark oak, over the years this has worn in places, quite possibly from sun and general use, so you have a slight mishmash of different brown hues. I think this has some real character to it and gives a lovely age worn look.
It has new brass mirror axis devices, so it tilts upwards downwards with ease and remains in place if you leave it at an angle.
The thick original glass on the whole remains in good condition, there are some signs of very minor spotting, that only notice on close inspection, and to the top half there is some feint grey scarring. I’d say on the whole though that the mirror is in good condition for the age and the faults I mention actually just add some character and authenticity.
A beautiful and attractive mirror with the wonderful turned supports, all intact with a boarded backing.
The mirror tilts upwards and downwards.
