This beautiful Victorian display cabinet is a genuine antique dating to the late 19th or very early 20th century, around 1890–1910, and showcases the fine craftsmanship and elegant detailing characteristic of the period. The body of the cabinet appears to be solid walnut with a warm, rich tone, while the mirrored and decorative panel section is made in contrasting mahogany, adding depth and visual interest.

The front features a decorative arrangement of inlaid panels with delicate incised botanical motifs surrounding a central rectangular mirror and four smaller mirror tiles in each corner. These original mirrors display some foxing, black marks, and minor spotting behind the glass, typical of authentic Victorian pieces and adding to the charm and antique character.

The lower section has an original glazed door that allows you to display books, ceramics, or collectibles while protecting them from dust. Inside are two fixed shelves providing practical storage space. Although you cannot see them from the outside, the cupboard stands on four original castors, making it easier to move despite its sturdy construction.

The wood has been carefully stripped and polished to reveal the natural grain and bring back its handsome patina. On the top surface, there are four old filled holes that are lighter in colour than the surrounding wood—these are smooth to the touch and do not affect use or stability. The hinges and clasp are sound, and the door opens and closes smoothly.

Overall, condition is good and honest for its age, with minor marks and surface wear that reflect a long history. The rear panels are darker, retaining their original finish with some wear consistent with over a century of use.
